Language, Culture, and Korea’s Global Influence
Following the Korean War, South Korea transformed from a war-torn
Korean American Center is proud to be accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) — giving our program the same pedigree as top educational institutions across the United States, including public school districts, private K-12 schools, and universities. This accreditation affirms the academic rigor, instructional quality, and organizational integrity of our programs, and ensures that our students receive a standard of education recognized nationwide.
We are currently a candidate for Cognia accreditation for the 2025-2026 review cycle.
We know that families and students are investing not just time and energy—but often working toward concrete academic goals. That’s why accreditation matters when it comes to getting credit and recognition for your Korean language study.
Korean American Center is the first Korean language institution in the United States to receive WASC accreditation. This milestone reflects our leadership in delivering high-quality, culturally grounded education with measurable impact.
We are currently a candidate for Cognia accreditation for the 2025-2026 review cycle.
In many school districts across the U.S., students can receive foreign language credit for completing courses through an accredited program such as ours. This is especially beneficial for students whose schools do not offer Korean as part of their core curriculum.
Accreditation allows us to issue verified records of completion and learning progress, which can be included in school portfolios, homeschool records, and even scholarship applications. This is especially important for:
Whether your child dreams of working in diplomacy, K-culture industries, tech, education, or international business, validated language study shows discipline, cultural literacy, and long-term commitment. Accreditation turns your efforts into recognized achievements.
