Ready to start your journey?

100% Focused on Korean. 100% Mission-Driven. 100% for You.

We’re not a language school that offers 10 different languages. We’re a mission-driven nonprofit with a singular focus on Korean language and culture — and we’ve built one of the nation’s leading Korean programs around that purpose.

At the Korean American Center, Korean isn’t just a subject — it’s our purpose, our passion, and our only focus. Since 2015, we’ve been the only comprehensive Korean language program in Orange County dedicated exclusively to adult learners.

As a WASC-accredited and designated King Sejong Institute, we offer access to a globally recognized curriculum, enriched by locally led instruction and meaningful cultural experiences that go far beyond the classroom.

Whether you’re learning for personal growth, professional goals, or to reconnect with your heritage, you’ll be part of a community that lives and breathes Korean — because that’s all we do.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What makes KAC’s King Sejong Institute program unique?

As a proud partner of the King Sejong Institute, we offer access to a globally supported curriculum and cultural programming developed by Korean language education experts. These resources complement our community-based instruction and enrich the overall learning experience.

How does the King Sejong Institute partnership fit into KAC’s overall Korean program?

The King Sejong Institute is one part of our larger language and culture program. While we incorporate select Sejong-developed materials and resources, all courses are designed, taught, and led by KAC. Our broader offerings—including private tutoring and special workshops—are rooted in our own curriculum, community engagement, and nonprofit mission.

Should I choose Korean Fundamentals or Level 1?

If you don’t yet read Hangul, start with Fundamentals. If you can read and understand basic Korean, begin with Level 1.

I’m a heritage speaker who can understand but not read or write. What class is right?

Many heritage learners begin with Fundamentals or Beginner 1, depending on comfort level. We recommend taking a placement test to determine the best fit.

What are the class sizes?

Small groups allow for personalized attention and plenty of speaking practice.
