Korean American Center is honored to collaborate with the King Sejong Institute—an initiative of South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism—through a shared mission to expand access to Korean language education and cultural programming. As a nationally accredited, community-rooted organization, we bring local leadership, instructional excellence, and a deep commitment to learners of all backgrounds.

What Is the King Sejong Institute?

Named after King Sejong the Great, the visionary leader who created the Korean writing system Hangul, the King Sejong Institute Foundation (KSIF) supports the global promotion of Korean language and culture. Each year, a limited number of organizations worldwide are selected to join this network based on instructional quality, cultural programming, and community engagement.

Our collaboration with the King Sejong Institute complements the programs we’ve built independently over the years. Korean American Center designs and leads its own Korean language and culture offerings, and we thoughtfully incorporate King Sejong Institute resources when they enrich the learner experience and align with our mission.

How This Enhances Our Programs

Our partnership with the King Sejong Institute adds dimension to our already robust offerings. As part of this collaboration, we have access to:

  • Official Sejong curriculum developed for adult learners.
  • Certified instructors trained in teaching Korean as a foreign language.
  • Cultural programs and events highlighting both traditional and modern Korean life.
  • Global language education resources from Korea’s national network.

These elements are seamlessly integrated into our broader Korean language and culture programs—offered both online and in-person for learners across the U.S.
